Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you know that my hearts
desire has been to be a missionary for the LORD wherever he has called me.
Recently graduating high school this past year I decided to take the year off
and live with my friends. ALL I can say about the experience of being on my own
for a year and more independent from my parents than when I was living at home
has dramatically changed the way I look at them and I have grown to respect
them even more because of my experiences on my own.
This last year I have been able to
grow in the lord more than ever being that my life has really been dedicated to
serving the LORD, and working up to 3 jobs with the intentions to help support
myself to leave overseas to AFRICA, a country that has deeply been a passion of
mine for years now. I have a heart to go to the darkest and poorest places on
Earth, some of which no one wants to go. I love the people of this World and I
am called by GOD to be a missionary to places where no one will go. GLORY TO
GOD!!!!!!
In the last few months I have been
praying and asking the lord where I would be going in the next season of my
life since the year was coming to an end, living on my own with friends that
is. I believe that the LORD put on my heart to look into a missions program
that I could get involved with and so I began my search about 3 months ago and
it was then when I found a ministry called Adventures in Missions. After
spending hours reading and looking deeper into the program I was filled with
Joy when I found a program that AIM offers called First Year Missionaries. The
FYM program involves living overseas for nine months of your life being
Discipled in ministry and missions. I felt the Holy Spirit speaking to me the
whole time to go and do this, so I have applied and have been accepted into the
FYM program and I plan on leaving in September to Africa.

Some
very important aspects of living in Africa for
nine months is simplicity, I have been informed that I will need to be prepared
to ROUGHT it. PRAISE GOD!!!! That is what I like to hear, finally a mission
where I will be living as close as possible to what the people I will be
witnessing to live everyday. The total cost of the trip cost $6750 plus airfare
and along with some other expenses such as shots and travel insurance, with all
that in mind it all comes down to about $8500 that is what I call pretty simple
living.
While being overseas I will be trained and discilpled in
two different segments one being in South Africa and the other in a
destination where I filled called to go. That being as of now Kibera, Kenya
a place where the largest African slum is and has collected 1 million people in
a size of central park. Talk about one of the darkest and poorest places GOD
could send me too, and I’m excited for what he has planned in my days to come.
Throughout this year God has been showing me the theme of
trusting Him in all things. This whole trip, leaving my job, family, friends,
and raising support are areas that I am excited about relying on HIM. I know
that He will meet and supply my needs. Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do
that through you. I would be honored it you would partner prayerfully and
financially with me.
Through prayer partnering I am asking for fifteen people
who will commit to pray for me each day until I return. (Please let me
know!!!!!!! All prayer that is put forth is much appreciated by everyone. Some
areas: Health, easy transition from my leave of absence in teaching, raising
financial support, cohesiveness for team mates, my spiritual growth and
reliance on God, protection for me/teammates/belongings, and discipline to get
things in order to leave, ….and anything else you can think of.
Through financial partnership you may give money through
a one time, monthly, or both commitments. I figured if some people were to give
$900 ($100/m), $675 ($75/m), $450 ($50/m), and $225 ($25/m) then I will reach
my goal. I leave in September and starting May 1st and the 1st
of every month I have to reach financial goals. Would you please pray about
supporting me for one of these amounts. Thank you for all you support!!!!!!!!!!
