hey friends and family,
I apologize for not writing in such a long time, the last time I had internet my connection was lost and therefore left me hanging for a whole week before I could get on again. Communication is one of the hardest things to deal with while being overseas for such a long time so I will try my best to explain things in a way that you can experience some of whats happening over here in South Africa.
Ministry in Eskom- we ended the ministry in the township in ESKOM sometime last week due to the fact the the AFRICA team that was 33 people split into 2 teams of about 15 each. the Kenya team and the Swaziland team. I am on the SWAZI team and am stoked to be with such GODLY people who love the LORD and have hearts for the nations. ITS GREAT. GLory to GOD.
my team just left for swazi yesturday for two weeks to start up in ministry and to get to know that area better so when we go back after christmas, sometime in January we will have built those relationships in the ministry points that we have set up in SWAZI.
of the places that we will be involved in the few that I can remember are
carepoints- the children who some are orphans which means have one parent and then some dont have any parents come and get fed and just hang out where they also receive a little education( learn numbers, letters and what not but not very much)
Squatter camp- an illegal housing neighborhood made of tin shacks. There is a school for the children that a lady from the area started for the children. They can only go there if they agree to not have sex with eachother, so most of them want an education and therefore have agreed to stop doing those things so they can go and get an education. The school that is in the area is not what you are probably thinking of right now, just picture a tin shack and that is the school and school supplies are probably scarce to nothing.
those are a couple of the place that we are able to internship at in January when we get back from christmas break. I am very excited and look forward to what the LORD has in store for us there. Swazi is a place that is desperately in need of the LORD.
because they havent heard,
your sister in christ,
