My life starting in Swaziland!!!!!

We arrived in Swaziland a week ago, and have since then started to go about our ministries that we are all involved in.

        The ministry that I have a great desire to be involved in is high school ministry. I really believe that the Lord is going to use me to impact the high school girls and their lives. Since deciding that I was going to do high school ministry there has been a lot to do in preparation for the next 4 months.         Such as walking around Manzini, which is the town that we are living in and locating the high schools near us. Katie and I, who is a girl on my team that is doing the same ministry as me, have been given a task to go around and talk to the headmaster’s(principles) at the schools to tell them what we are doing here and to ask about a thing called scripture union. Almost all high schools have this, it’s a set time during the day, sometimes at lunch where students come together and do bible study. Once the head master approves of us going onto school property before school, during lunch, or even after school we will be able to plan our daily scheldule around each different high that we are invovled in.

        Since schools dont start for 3 more days and we have had a whole week to do ministry, katie, and I have been going over curriculum that we will be able to use during our time with the students. The curriculum that I have been very fascinated by is called Charity.

        Charity is used to empower the young students and to give them hope for a future. The study is based on Sexual Purity which happens to be an extreme need that should be talked about with these people in Swaziland, because they are living in the country which happens to be the highest infected country with HIV/AIDS.
